According to native American Indian tradition, Dreamcatchers catch and hold everything evil as a spider's web catches everything that comes into contact with it. Feathers are added so that the good dreams can slip down the softness of the feathers. 17cm diameter, 41cm length. The single stone in the center represents Asibikaashi, the spider on guard for bad dreams. Before use, the dream catcher is often cleansed in a ceremony of purification by passing them through the smoke of smoldering sage--the sage ceremony (see our smudge sticks). Sometimes, if the dream catcher is not in a well-lit room, it becomes overloaded with energies that need to be cleared.
